Not quite morning sickness

Up until today, my morning sickness has been evening sickness. Every night, just as I am settling down for bed, I get queasy. It can even stop me from falling asleep. Nausea and sicky burps - not fun!
This morning I woke up and felt queasy from the word go. I got to work, had a coffee and then spent the next 10 minutes praying to the porcelain God!
All this points to 2 things:
1: I now officially have morning sickness
2: I can no longer enjoy my morning coffee :(
Just the thought of coffee right now makes me feel ill.
DH has been really supportive, bringing me crackers in bed and making all the right soothing noises.
I guess the sickness is worth it if we get to meet JellyBean at the end of it all.
They say, the sicker you are, the healthier the pregnancy and whilst that doesn't exactly stop the nausea, it does make me feel better about it.

Finding Out

The day started off as ordinary as any other. It was the 21st of December, just a few days before Christmas.
I had been feeling a little unlike my usual self for a few days and had an inkling about what it might be but didn't want to do the test as every other time I had done the test, I got my period the next day.
Anyway, DH and I decided that we should get a home pregnancy test and do it. I peed on the stick and before I could even put it on the ground, the pregnancy line showed up. I called out to DH "I told you so!" right as the phone rang. It was Mum. DH and I had decided we wouldn't tell anyone until after the first trimester so it was difficult to talk to Mum without mentioning anything. It also meant DH and I had to postpone our celebrations.
We decided, because it was so close to Christmas, to go to the Doctor's that night.
The Dr ordered some blood tests which I had the following morning.
We went back to the Dr's on the 23rd December and he advised that my HCG levels were 72,249 and I was between 1 - 3 months pregnant.
On Christmas Eve, DH and I went for out first ultrasound. Almost as soon as the technician saw our baby he advised we were 7 weeks and 4 days pregnant. We also got to see Jelly Bean's heartbeat which is something we didn't get to see with Ebony and Ivory. It was the best Christmas present we could ever receive!
Now we have about 4 weeks until we can start telling people. I think it will be the hardest 4 weeks of my life!!
